Singer IU will release a new album on February 20.
On January 30, her agency EDAM Entertainment posted a mood film for IU's sixth mini album, "The Winning," on their official SNS, announcing the return of the "music queen.
In the video, IU captured attention with an unconventional blonde hairstyle and intense red fashion. IU sprays spray into the camera lens, stands holding a crumpled piece of paper, and stares into the camera. After several scenes, the video ends with IU once again staring at the screen against a green backdrop, with the caption "The Winning" and the release date "2024.2.20".
Despite the short duration of the video, IU's facial expressions and stylish visuals raised curiosity about her upcoming mini-album, as well as anticipation for her musical style. The meaning and details of the mini-album, "The Winning," will be revealed through content that will be released gradually.
Previously, IU released the song "Love wins all" on the 24th of this month, and within an hour of its release, it topped the Melon Top 100 and Hot 100 charts. In addition to Melon, the song also topped all major charts in Korea, including Genie, Bucks, Flo, and Vibe (daily chart), YouTube Music (weekly chart), and Ichart's weekly cumulative total.
