Singer and actor Hwang Min-hyun has successfully completed his first solo Asian tour.
Starting in Seoul on August 4, Hwang Min-hyun held the "2023 Hwang Min-hyun Mini Concert 'UNVEIL'" in seven cities in Asia, including Taipei (August 12), Jakarta (August 19), Macau (August 26), Bangkok (September 2), Manila (October 8), and Tokyo (December 20-21).
Especially in Taipei and Tokyo, all the tickets were sold out, and the local media showed great interest in Hwang Minhyun's Asian tour, requesting interviews and press conferences.
Hwang Minhyun performed a diverse setlist, including all songs from his mini album "Truth or Lie", which he released earlier this year, as well as his single "Universe (Language of the Stars)", and OSTs from dramas he has appeared in. Each region's unique stage also attracted attention. In Seoul, he premiered a performance of "Perfect Type", in Taipei and Macau, he sang the OST for "Someday or One Day" in fluent Chinese, and in Bangkok, he sang "Melt" in Thai. In Japan, he delivered all of his lines in Japanese and sang "Koisuruhi", a ballad released in 2015, to the delight of his fans.
Throughout the tour, Hwang Minhyun showed his love for his "Hwangdo"(fandom name). He personally prepared gifts for fans at his concerts, read stories sent to him by fans, and sang songs to match.
After completing her first solo Asian tour, Hwang Minhyun said, "The Asian tour that started in August has come to an end. I'm grateful. I think this year will be remembered as a meaningful year for me," he said, "I wanted to show a lot of things, but I got a lot of strength from 'Hwangdo'. I would like to be with you always in the future, and I will do my best to greet you in a good way next year."
Hwang Min Hyun will be spending the rest of the year filming his upcoming drama "Study Group" and hosting "2023 MBC Music Festival".
